Even though Unlimited Towing is my recommendation when it
comes to covering all the bases, not all boaters need that
much service. While the average cost of a tow is around $320
and average soft ungrounding is $500, in reality, your boat
size and cruising area will help determine the amount of
service that's right for you. Here are some guidelines for
the towing options we offer to current BoatU.S. Members... |

$15 gives you $150 of service
- this amount is good for boaters who spend time on small
inland lakes & rivers where there is a local TowBoatU.S. or
marina services.
$40 & $55 gives you either $350 or
$500 of service - this generally appeals to
boaters with boat length between 16' & 25' that stay within
close proximity of their port or towing destination.
$99 provides for
Unlimited Towing Service - great for boaters
that want the peace of mind that comes with unlimited
service. Good within a 25 mile radius of TowBoatU.S. home
port & covers up to $1,000 outside a TowBoatU.S. Service
area. |

The
Unlimited Towing Option is recommended for boaters
who don't want to worry about the cost of a soft grounding or
being towed from offshore. For boaters with larger boats &
longer cruising area, Unlimited is the way to go.
Of course it's better to be safe than sorry, but there's
really no need to overspend. |
